Whilst performing flight JQ-1 from Melbourne to Honolulu the aircraft departed from Runway 16 when the aircraft suffered a bird strike. No abnormal indications to the crew where shown by the aircraft and they therefore continued to Honolulu without Any further known issues landing 10 hours later. Post flight inspection however showed terminal damage to the number 1 engine and therefore requires replacement, aircraft grounded.

Whilst performing flight JQ-12 from Tokyo Narita to Coolangatta Airport with 309 passengers and 11 crew was at FL400 over the Pacific Ocean approx. 250nm north of Guam when the crew received a low oil pressure warning for the number 2 engine. The crew followed procedure and shut the engine down. The aircraft diverted to Guam and landed safely approx. 1 hour 10 minutes later. Aircraft was grounded.

Whilst performing flight JQ-7 from Melbourne to Singapore, at FL400 over the Timor sea approx. 150nm West of Darwin the crew chose to divert due to an instrument problem. The crew reportedly had issues with the aircrafts speed and altitude systems, caused by an instrument fault. The passengers reported faults with the anti-ice system, and sensors. The aircraft underwent maintenance overnight and continued its journey.
